This design was also inspired by my time in Japan, but in a completely different way.
We finished the design with a matching bandana to give it an effortless, free-spirited feel, something that feels relaxed, artistic and true to the world of Avlis Porté.
With Sora, it was all about what I heard.
I was there during the rainy season, and there's something so calming about the sound of the rain.
I wanted to capture that calming sound in a design. the embossed texture printed on the light organza fabric reflects the rhythm and consistency of the raindrops I heard, reinfoced by the aqua colour of the sky. Sora means sky in japanese, so the name felt like the perfect fit. I added the suede fringing because I loved how it moves so naturally, like like the wind would carry the rain.
