CIELO started long before it became a clothing set

Cielo started a while before it became a clothing set. Whilst spending the summer away I watched the sky set and took a mental photograph of the colours. Blues, pinks, peaches. When we came home I painted what I had seen, which was a core visual memory of the beauty of the sky to me.

I wanted to capture the colours, the movement and the emotion of that evening before the memory faded. What began as a painting became the foundation of our Summers' collection.

I've always believed clothing can be more than something we wear. It can carry a memory, tell a story and make us feel something.

That painting was carefully transferred into a print, allowing the artwork to live beyond the canvas and become part of other people's lives too.
