The Meaning of VIDA
For me, designing has never just been about creating clothes.
It’s about how we see the world around us. Learning to look a little closer, to dig a little deeper, and to notice the things that might otherwise go unnoticed.
A colour, a texture, a feeling. The way light falls across a surface, the colours found in food, nature, textures, sounds, inspiration from the people around us, or the feeling a particular place leaves behind.
Inspiration can come from anywhere, if you allow yourself to really see it.
It’s about creating pieces that become part of your life and creating pieces that move with you.
VIDA was born from this idea of seeing life and the art of living.
Behind every piece, there’s a process. reworking, experimenting and discovering something entirely new.
Fabrics find new purpose, carried through from previous designs across the collections. Familiar textures are reimagined. Silhouettes evolve. And details emerge that you might not notice at first, but reveal themselves the longer you look.
Like our two-toned threads in our Persia fabrics, designed to catch the light differently as you move. creating something that never feels quite the same twice.
Because movement has always been at the heart of what I create.
I want each piece to feel different on every person who wears it. To have its own character, and its own energy
So much of this collection comes from my own life. VIDA is a reflection of what already surrounds us, the places I return to, and the experiences and people that continue to inspire me and shape my perspective and the way I see the world and finding meaning in the everyday living.
It’s a collection made with intention, designed to be worn, to be lived in, and to become your story too.
This is VIDA.
